Welcome to the Office of Residential Education! We’re here to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive residential community that supports and challenges student growth and development through educational, social, and leadership opportunities.

Important Dates for Fall 2025
- Thursday, August 21st: New Student Move-In Day (international students are welcome to arrive on Wednesday, August 20th)
- Sunday, August 24th: Returning Student Move-In Day
- Monday, August 25th: First Day of Classes for Fall 2024!
- Monday, September 1st: Labor Day – No Classes
- Monday, October 13th: Tuesday, October 14th: Fall Break – No Classes
- Students who need to remain on campus for Fall Break do not need to apply for break housing. There is no cost associated with remaining on campus during Fall Break.
- Monday, November 3rd: Thanksgiving Break Housing Request Form Released
- Students who need to remain on campus for Thanksgiving Break should apply on their housing portal. There is no cost associated with Thanksgiving Break housing.
- Monday, November 10th: Late Departure & Winter Housing Request Form Released
- Students who need a late departure for the end of the fall semester and/or who need winter housing should apply on their housing portal. There may be a cost associated with a late departure and/or winter housing.
- Wednesday, November 26th – Friday, November 28th: Thanksgiving Break – No Classes
- Tuesday, December 2nd: Wednesday, December 3rd: Reading Days
- Thursday, December 4th: Wednesday, December 10th: Final Exams
- Thursday, December 11th by 12pm (noon): Residential Student Move-Out for Winter Break
- Students are not required to fully move out of their rooms, but should follow proper winter break closing instructions from ResEd regarding unplugging electronic devices, defrosting and unplugging mini fridges, etc.
Important Dates for Spring 2025
- Tuesday, January 20th between 12pm – 3pm: New Student Move-In Day (Click here to view our Move-In Information Page)
- New international students are permitted to arrive on Saturday, January 18th or Sunday, January 19th. Additional information will be shared with new international students!
- Wednesday, January 21st: Returning Student Move-In Day between 8 AM – 9 PM. Students should proceed directly to their Residence Hall Assignment.
- Thursday, January 22rd: First Day of Classes – Spring 2025!
- Monday, February 16th: President’s Day – No Classes
- Monday, March 16th: Friday, March 22nd: Spring Break!
- April 3rd -Good Friday: Holiday – No Classes
- Monday, May 4th: Last Day of Classes
- Tuesday, May 5th – Wednesday, May 6th: Reading Days
- Thursday, May 7th :Wednesday, May 13th: Final Exams
- Thursday, May 14th: All Non-Graduating Students by 10 AM.

Advocacy
Residential Education strives to advocate for students living on campus. We approach advocacy as a learning opportunity that encompasses empowerment and encouragement. We want to role model and inspire students to advocate for themselves in regards to their academic success, interpersonal relationships, housing needs, and professional aspirations.
Integration
Residential Education values the integration of all students into our campus resources. We work to connect and support residents with offices and services that enhance their success at the college. We value collaborative partnerships across campus and providing training to members of our community.
