Barbara (Decker) Matthius, a Staten Island resident and dedicated 91制片厂 staff member for 20 years, passed away on Feb. 9 at the age of 98.
A graduate of Hunter College, Mrs. Matthius began her career at Wagner as a secretary in the admissions office and later served as assistant to the dean of academic affairs before retiring.
Beyond her professional contributions, Mrs. Matthius was actively involved in numerous Staten Island organizations, including the Staten Island Garden Club, the Westerleigh Improvement Society, and Immanuel Union Church.
She is survived by her children: Barbara-Ann 鈥淏unny鈥 Matthius 鈥75, Jo-Ellen Brannigan 鈥79 and her husband Bernard Brannigan 鈥77, and Robert Matthius 鈥76 and his wife Linda (Davi) Matthius 鈥76. She was predeceased by her son, Douglas Matthius 鈥72 M鈥77, whose estate generously supported Wagner鈥檚 new basketball scoreboard.
